Practical Exercise: The Stone and the Blessing

Practical Exercise: The Stone and the Blessing

This week, find a small stone.
Hold it in your hand.
Let it represent something you have been carrying.

Perhaps resentment.
Regret.
Guilt.
Anger.
A relationship.
A disappointment.

Do not choose your deepest trauma for this exercise.

Begin with something you are ready to work with.

For a moment say: This happened. Do not deny it.

Then say: I honor what I learned.

Finally say: I release my need to carry it in the same way.

Take the stone somewhere meaningful.
A stream.
A garden.
The base of a tree.
Place it down.

And say:
I release you.
I release myself.
I choose freedom.

The outer act does not magically erase the inner work. But ritual gives the soul a language.

Sometimes the body needs to reinforce what the heart and head are learning to believe.
