End of Days

End of Days

"Daniel spoke and said, I saw in my vision by night, and behold, the four winds of heaven stirred up the great sea.  And four great beasts came up out of the sea, differing one from another."

(Daniel 7:2-3 Lamsa Translation)

One of the four was especially "terrifying and dreadful and exceedingly strong."  It had had ten horns and spoke very loud.  The vision continues as the "ancient of days is seated on a throne.  And the beast with ten horns is put to death because of its exceeding arrogance.  "As for the rest of the beasts, their dominion was taken away, but their lives were prolonged for a season and a time."

The sea is our unconscious mind.  The beasts are our shadow selves.  Most of them have their dominion over us taken away.  But the exceedingly loud and domineering ones are eliminated from our consciousness.

The ones that are left for a season and a time are willing to live in harmony with the rest of consciousness.  They are useful parts or our (ego) small self.  The ancient of days is our guide and helps us tame these beasts so that one like a "son of man" (our True Self), can reign as the supremen harmonizer of our consciousness.

I am often asked about the "end of days" or the "end times" and I reply that I don't read the scripture that way.  I'm not saying your way of reading it isn't true; it's just not the way I read it.

I open myself to Spirit,

the teacher within me,

and ask for help.

May the beasts of my shadow

be harmonized for the greatest good,

and may the Christ in me

be the active voice

of my consciousness.
